Wellness Journal
I made this out of desperation, honestly. I’ve always had food aversions, allergies, and sensory issues, and as I’ve gotten older things have gotten progressively worse with no real answers from anyone. Most providers were content making me feel fat, lazy, and crazy, or offering vague suggestions that never helped. If they mentioned keeping a wellness journal it was equally vague — “just track things” — with zero guidance on what to actually track. Being neurodivergent, I often struggle finding words for what’s happening in my body in the moment. So “just write it down” left me staring blankly at a page for hours.
So I started building a system with fill-ins and circle options so I’d never have to stare at a blank page again — because I learned the hard way that what was wrecking my body wasn’t always food. It could be a neighbor’s scented candles, cigarette or marijuana smoke coming through apartment walls, the fermented foods everyone swore would heal my gut but actually destroyed it, where I was in my cycle, whether I’d actually slept or just dissociated for eight hours, etc. It’s all connected, and nobody was handing me that roadmap so I made one for myself. For my survival. Knowing it was either figure this shit out or I’d be dead in ten years, listening to their advice or constantly watching them shrug their shoulders like it wasn’t a big deal that I was constantly in so much pain and discomfort.
And it helped tremendously. When my immunologist swore I didn’t have MCAS, my wellness log tells a different story. When providers pushed SSRIs for anxiety and depression that only made things worse, this tracker helped me connect how food and deficiencies were contributing. Which made me in turn push my PCP’s to check specific things in my blood work that are commonly overlooked. This has been the best tool I’ve found for finally seeing the full picture.
It won’t diagnose you, and shouldn’t replace a medical provider. But it might give you the evidence you need when someone isn’t fully listening or doubts you know more about your body than they do— which is sometimes the only power you’ve got when the system keeps failing you because your body works differently than what most are limited in understanding.
Two versions available — one with Chakra tracking and one without. Pick and choose what sections are helpful.
